Itchy Flaky Scalp Treatment
Scalp problems such as itching and flaking affect millions of people across the world. They are sometimes viewed as a bit embarrassing but most of us will experience them to some degree every now and again. It is only when the problem continues or becomes unbearable that we are driven to seek help. Scalp Psoriasis is a disease that presents itself as scabs or spots on the scalp. In extreme cases can cause permanent loss or thinning in affected areas.
Dandruff can’t really be cured but it can be controlled. There are a few things that you can do to decrease the itching and flaking of your scalp. Changing your eating habits helps, especially if you avoid spicy foods and increase your intake of fruits and vegetables. Drink lots of water which will flush many harmful chemicals out of your system. Use an over-the-counter dandruff shampoo and rinse your hair thoroughly when finished. Trichological treatment for scalp conditions involves applying a scalp treatment cream containing moisturisers and a keratolytic to soften and loosen the scalp scale or crust.
So if you don’t have dry scalp or dandruff there is a good chance it is Oily Hair which can itch as well. There are many different things that can cause oily hair. But how does the oil get there? Well at the base of every hair you have a sebaceous gland which produces oil for you hair. Sometimes your sebaceous glands get kicked into overdrive and start over-producing oil which builds up and causes itchy scalp or even flaking. To relieve itching, natural oils such as Lavender, German Chamomile, and Eucalyptus can have a significant soothing effect when mixed together and dabbed locally on affected areas. The use of Neem oil can also have a profound effect on preventing dandruff and is often used to relieve conditions like psoriasis and eczema.
Whether skin is greasy, oily or dry, natural products are the best and safest source. Natural skincare products help the skin from further damage. Natural products don’t contain harsh substances which is unhealthy for skin. You need to be looking for natural essential oils as treatment which has to be carefully selected.
